Loved our overnight stay recently at The Black Spur Inn. A fantastic base for exploring the surrounding forest. The hosts and staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with a new, beautifully appointed bathroom with a fantastic shower. The linen was top quality and our king size bed very comfortable. The attention to detail with lovely china for a cuppa and complimentary Muscat and Chocolate a lovely touch. The restaurant has fantastic views of the trees and the food was excellent. Our room rate included a cooked brekky which was also delicious. We would love to return again for a second stay. Highly recommend for an enjoyable experience.
My wife and I had dinner here on Monday night. It gets cold in the hills. The hotel looks inviting and we were greeted by a lovely lady who gave us a seat next to a roaring fireplace! We ordered drinks and also ate cheesy garlic bread which was very tasty. I ordered a porterhouse steak with chips and salad. My wife ordered a hamburger. Both cooked to perfection and really delicious! We were asked if the meal was to our satisfaction and had a great conversation with the lady serving us. I told her we had trouble lighting the timber in our accommodation and she was wonderfully kind enough to provide a wax block that I believe was impregnated with some ingredients to help combustion much like a firelighter. All in all a really marvellous dinner.
We quite often pop in on our way home from camping up at Eildon. Great spot, plenty of parking, even with the boat on the back. Service was very good, and so was the food. Croquettes and cheesy garlic bread for entree, both delicious. Panko crumbed chicken schnitzel, Angus beef burger, and 300g porterhouse steak for mains, all great. Finished off with chocolate brownie with ice cream and berries and a trio of sorbet, amazing. I definitely recommend popping in for a meal when going over the Black Spur.
Wow what a great place to get away for the weekend. The staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. Food was really good and cooked with care. Room was amazing, so comfortable and clean. Everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend coming here for a quiet weekend away!
The black spur inn has beautiful surroundings. They have lots of beers on tap and very yummy soul warming food. Jeremy also happens to be a legend! - he drove out to a nearby campsite to jump start us when we were out of options!
This was our second stay, both times thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The room is simple but very spacious and comfortable. The standouts are the food and the lovely owners and their staff. The freshest ingredients, generous serves. A must stay for a short getaway not far from Melbourne yet feels a million miles away.
Came here for a couple nights to get away. Had a ball, service was good and food was amazing rooms were comfortable and good priced. Highly recommend will return

It was a cosy lodge with a restaurant and fire place area.
Restaurant was perfect for breaky and dinner. Incredibly kid friendly and staff were accommodating.
Rooms were spacious and warm. Daily attention to detail was great (room cleanliness and staff were helpful and attentive).
Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!
